What is all about?

Budapest Girl Geek Dinners are an opportunity for like-minded women to talk about all things relating to technology over food and drinks. The events are aimed at providing a welcoming atmosphere and a platform for learning in an informal environment. They are usually held in local bars or restaurants, with a speaker who talks for a short while on a chosen subject for the evening.

What is Girl Geeks?

Someone who is female and has an interest in technology, particularly innovation, computing and new media. Not necessarily technically minded.

Our mission

Girl Geeks is focused on finding real solutions to the long-standing diversity imbalance problems of how to attract, retain and advance more women in the technology, science, digital and related industries through employment and entrepreneurialism.

Is it only for girls?

No, guys are welcome too! They just have to come as the guest of a female.
No more than one date per night girls!

Is it free?

We are doing our best to keep the events free. We are constantly looking for sponsors to help us with the costs of the venue and food for the evening. If we cannot find a sponsor for an event, then the participants will have to pay for their own food.

The backstory…

Girl Geek Dinners was originally founded by Sarah Blow in London 5 years ago and since then groups have been popping up all over the UK ever since, with new groups starting all the time. Get to know more: Girl Geek Dinners.
